Father Chacour's book was als...Thank you, Tom. Father Chacour's book was also very important to me -- especially his account of his early life. Many years ago, when I too was subject to the myth of Israel's innocence and victimhood, I lived on a kibbutz just up the road from the ruins of Bir'am. Then I was blessed to meet Elias Chacour about 8 years ago. We are truly brothers -- of the blood and certainly of the spirit.
